- Lenguas iberorromances occidentales (iberorromance nuclear)
- Ibero-Oriental
- Occitano-Gascón
- Occitano sepentrional: Auvernense, Limosín, Vivaroalpino
- Occitano suroriental: Languedociano, Provenzal
- Occitano sudoriental o Gascón: Aranés, Bearnés, Bigorrés
- Shuadit o Judeo-provenzal (†)
- Catalán-valenciano-balear
- Occitano-Gascón

The iberorromances languages are a subset of Romance languages possibly form a phylogenetic subgroup within the family romance. The languages are developed iberromances occupied by the Romans around the year 415, ie, the Iberian Peninsula, southern Gaul and northern Maghreb and subsequent conquests (the territories Suevia ).
Universally considered within the Ibero-Romance group languages areGalician-Portuguese (and their modern descendants), theLeonese andCastilian . Some authors also include navarroaragonés and Occitan-Romance languages . All these languages form acontinuum geolectal with high intelligibility between adjacent languages.
The iberorromances languages are a conventional grouping of the Romance languages, many authors use the term in a geographical sense, although not necessarily phylogenetic . Phylogenetically, there are discrepancies about whether what languages should be considered in the Ibero-Romance group, as for example some authors consider that the Ibero-Oriental, also called Occitan-Romanesque , could you be more closely related to the languages of northern Italy with languages eastern Iberian (nuclear Ibero-Romance). And the position of the Aragonese in the Romance languages of the Iberian peninsula also causes discrepancies.
A common conventional geographic clustering is:
- Iberorromances Oriental Languages (occitanorrománico and Aragonese)
- Iberorromances Western languages (nuclear Ibero-Romance)
- Mozárabe
In what follows the conventional sign † will be used for extinct languages .
Western Ibero-Romance (nuclear)
The Western Ibero-Romance has a number of defining phonological and grammatical features that are absent in the so-called eastern Ibero-Romance which in turn has common features with Gallo-Romance or galoitaliano but not present in Western iberromances languages. Some authors consider that iberorromances languages and cover only the western nuclear group and the so-called “oriental iberorromace” actually constitutes a separate phylogenetic group intermediate between the Ibero-Romance and Gallo-Romance.
Iberrromances Western languages are:
- Ibero-West
- Astur-Leonese : Asturian , Leonese , Mirandese
- You speak of transition between Castilian and Leonese:altoextremeño , Mountaineer
- Spanish
- Subgroup Galician-Portuguese
Eastern Ibero-Romance (occitanorromance)
The iberromances languages East, also known as occitanorromance form a separate group and its inclusion within the iberorromances languages is problematic, since it is questionable whether they should be considered closer to the Western iberorromances languages, or thegalorromances languages or galoitalianas . According to Etnologueiberorromances Eastern languages are:
- Ibero-Oriental
- Occitan-Gascon
- Sepentrional Occitan: Auvernense , Limousin , Vivaroalpino
- Southeast Occitan: the Languedoc , Mas
- Southeast Occitan or Gascon : Aranés , Béarnais , Bigorrés
- Shuadit or Judeo-Provençal (†)
- Catalan-Valencian-Balearic
- Eastern Catalan : Central Catalan , Balearic ( Majorcan ,Minorcan , Ibizan ), northeastern Catalan , Algherese .
- Western Catalan : Catalan Northwest , Tortosa , Valencia (apitxat , Valenciano Northern , Southern , Alicantino ,Castellonense )
- Judeocatalán (†)
- Occitan-Gascon
