Catherine Zeta Jones, CBE¹ (Swansea, Gales, Reino Unido, 25 de septiembre de 1969), conocida como Catherine Zeta-Jones, es una actriz, cantante y bailarina galesa. Biografía

Su nombre real procede de la unión de los nombres de sus abuelas, Catherine y Zeta.² Su padre era empleado en una fábrica de golosinas^{3 4} y su madre una modista de origen irlandés y galés. After his stint as James Bond, Dalton divided his work between stage, film and television. This helped somewhat to eliminate the 007 typecasting that followed as for a few years. He played the villain Neville Sinclair film The Rocketeer Scarlet and Red Butler in the television miniseries sequel to the film Gone with the Wind . He also appeared as criminal informant named Eddie Myers in the acclaimed British miniseries Framed.

During the second half of the 90s starred in several films for cable television, among them are found The Informant and the action thriller Made Men . Also played Julius Caesar in the TV movie of 1999 , Cleopatra of which he is an admirer and fan.

Primeros años

Hopkins nació en Margam, Port Talbot, Gales, hijo de Muriel Anne y Richard Arthur Hopkins, un panadero.⁶ Su madre es pariente lejana del poeta irlandés William Butler Yeats.⁶

Primeros años

Richard Walter Jenkins nació en la aldea de Pontrhydyfen (Gales) y creció en pobreza con muchos de sus hermanos y hermanas. Finalmente, poco antes de morir, interpretó al personaje de O’Brien en la película británica 1984, dirigida por Michael Radford y basada en la novela homónima del escritor George Orwell.

Fue nominado siete veces para los Premios de la Academia, pero no ganó ninguno.

Primeros años

Nació en la pequeña ciudad de Haverfordwest (13 000 habitantes), capital del condado de Pembrokeshire (Gales). Su padre era el activista sudafricano David Bale (1941-2003) y su madre, la británica Jenny James, trabajó en el circo como bailarina. Bale tuvo tres hermanas mayores.

Empezó en el teatro siendo un niño y siguiendo la vena artística de su madre, una de sus obras más conocidas la hizo junto a Rowan Atkinson, quien unos años después también se haría famoso gracias a Mr. Bean.

Carrera artística

 

Muy joven, con 13 años, debuta en el cine de la mano de Steven Spielberg en el filme El imperio del Sol, al pasar un casting de más de 4000 niños, pronto se vería lo acertado de la elección cuando la actuación de Bale como el chico James es elogiada por los críticos.

En 1989 trabajó en la película Enrique V y al año siguiente en La Isla del Tesoro. En 1992 trabaja en el musical de Disney Newsies, y un año despues participa en la película de Thomas Carter, Rebeldes del swing, convirtiéndose en uno de los llamados “chicos swing” o Jóvenes del swing.

Ya con 20 años, actúa en Mujercitas (1994) y unos años más tarde en Retrato de una dama (1996).

En el año 2000, rueda las películas Shaft: The Return y American Psycho.
